We last covered Miles Chancellor when he dropped his most recent record Heaven featuring Sincerely Tahj but the Philly rapper is back with a new statement track "Heatin Up" produced by Ignorvnce. The record available for stream below is an autobiographical account of how Miles sees his career right now: getting hotter and hotter as he builds momentum. Famed inspirational speaker Anthony Robbins remarks on the importance of the momentum concept: "The most important thing you can do to achieve your goals is to make sure that as soon as you set them, you immediately begin to create momentum." If Miles' goal is to break out of Philadelphia into the mainstream, continuing his momentum with quality, mass appeal records like 'Heatin Up' is a good start. Thankfully, the artist it not in any rush to sloppily drop rough soundcloud tracks. We can tell some time has gone into the production of his recent singles and 'Heatin Up' is no different. Ignorvnce's production is a fine fit as usual--a favorite part is the chord changing bridge towards the end of the song which Miles has no trouble continuing to flow over in his impassioned melodic rap style we have come to expect from the young artist. Don't forget to miss Miles Chancellor this Sunday at Three for 3 featuring special guest Atlanta's own Miloh Smith.
